DHAN-IQ PRIVACY POLICY
Operator: P&K Global Ltd, operating the DHAN-IQ app (“DHAN-IQ”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
1. About this policy
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you use the DHAN-IQ mobile app and related services. Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, the official rules for a particular prize promotion.
2. Information we may collect
- Account information: username or display name, email address, account identifier and information you choose to provide.
- Quiz and service data: answers, scores, completion times, quiz history, practice attempts, competition participation, leaderboard data, reports and support messages.
- Device and technical data: app version, device and operating-system information, IP address, diagnostic logs, approximate location or country where available, and signals used to protect the service against abuse. The precise data collected depends on the app configuration and service providers.
- Subscription and transaction status: whether a subscription is active, purchase/renewal status and transaction identifiers supplied by Apple, Google or our subscription provider. We do not intend to store full payment-card details on our own servers.
- Reward information: if a prize promotion is enabled and you win, we may request information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and deliver the stated prize, such as contact or payment details. Do not send bank or payment details unless requested through an approved, secure process.
- Advertising and analytics data: your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where you allow it), ad delivery and interaction information, app events and performance information, as permitted by your choices and applicable law. See section 6.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts and provide the app, quizzes, practice features and subscriptions.
- Record quiz attempts and scores, operate leaderboards, administer any enabled prize promotion and contact winners.
- Maintain service security, detect cheating, automated activity, duplicate or abusive entries, and investigate disputes.
- Process subscription status and provide customer support.
- Show and measure advertisements, where enabled, and understand app performance.
- Meet legal, accounting, regulatory and app-store obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
4. Legal bases
Where data protection law applies, we will rely on the lawful basis appropriate to each use, which may include performing our contract with you, legitimate interests such as preventing abuse and securing the app, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland we ask for your consent before ads are personalised or advertising identifiers are used (see section 6), and you can withdraw it at any time.
5. Who we share information with
We may share relevant information with service providers who help operate the app, such as hosting/backend providers, database and authentication providers, crash-reporting or analytics providers, advertising providers (Google AdMob), subscription-management providers (including RevenueCat if enabled), Apple and Google for in-app purchases, and prize-payment providers where needed. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, our rights or the integrity of the service. We do not sell personal information for money.
Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices as well as any applicable data-processing arrangements with us. Please review the relevant providers’ notices.
6. Advertising
Guests and free players may see a full-screen ad from Google AdMob in the Practice Quiz, when they leave the score screen. There are no ads in the weekly competition, and Premium subscribers do not see ads. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud and invalid traffic, Google AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier (where you allow it), IP address, device and app information and ad interaction information. Google explains how it uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your consent and choices:
- UK, EEA and Switzerland: before showing ads we ask for your consent with Google's consent message. You can accept, refuse or choose which purposes to allow. If you refuse, ads may still be shown without personalisation where the law allows. You can change your choice at any time with "Ad privacy choices" on the Practice Quiz score screen.
- iPhone and iPad: we ask your permission to use your device's advertising identifier through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (for example Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
Please never click ads you are not interested in, and never ask others to click ads to support DHAN-IQ.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
8. Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account operation, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the data type and purpose. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. A specific retention schedule should be maintained internally.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies, you may be able to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and complain to the relevant data protection authority. These rights are subject to legal exceptions. Contact us at contact@dhaniq.co.uk.
10. Children and age restrictions
Prize promotions are intended for people aged 18 or over unless the specific official rules lawfully state otherwise. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly use children's information for personalised advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in breach of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us.
11. Third-party services and links
The app may rely on or link to third-party services. Their own privacy notices apply to their processing. We are not responsible for independent third-party services, but we will take reasonable steps to choose appropriate providers.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, providers or law. We will publish the updated version and revise the effective date; where required, we will give additional notice or obtain consent. Privacy questions or requests: contact@dhaniq.co.uk.
